PSG vs Real Madrid: Team news

PSG are going to be without Lucas Hernandez and William Pacho, who are both being forced to sit out due to suspension.

Lucas Beraldo is likely to get a start alongside Marquinhos in defence, while Ousmane Dembele is still awaiting his first start in the USA.

Dembele missed the opening few fixtures through injury, however, after a goal and two appearances off the bench, he’ll want to be in from the off.

As for Real Madrid, summer signing Dean Huijsen is suspended after being sent off late in the game against Borussia Dortmund last time out.

Mbappe will hope to come into the starting team after recovering from injury, but youngster Gonzalo Garcia has been in fine form.

Trent Alexander-Arnold will be at right-back, coming up against PSG for the third time this season after clashing in the Champions League with Liverpool.

PSG vs Real Madrid: What has been said?

Real Madrid’s Alexander-Arnold and Antonio Rudiger are both expecting a hard game against PSG, but they’re remaining confident.

Alexander-Arnold said: “I played against PSG this season and they were exceptional. Of course, it’ll be a tough game.

“Both teams have earned their place in the semi-finals, but in the knockout stages anything can happen.

“We’re going to go back now, recover, work hard and get ready for a tough match. May the best team win!”

Rudiger said: “PSG are a very, very tough team to play against. They’ve shown they’re one of the best teams in Europe, so it’ll be a hard match.

“But we’re Real Madrid and we’re ready for the challenge.”
