Colorado Rockies vs Boston Red Sox (7:10pm, EST)

Boston Red Sox First Five Innings Team Total Over 2.5 Innings: (-140) at BetMGM Sportsbook

Since the start of the regular season, the Colorado Rockies have been the clear cut worst team in the league as they are comfortably in last place in the overall standings and rank near the bottom of the board in most key metrics. Two of those metrics reside on defense as the Rockies back end heads into Monday night’s contest against Boston ranked 30th overall in Defensive Efficiency and in Fielding Percentage.

Austin Gomber has played a key role in their struggles as the Rockies pitcher has failed to mask their low level of play with his own individual production as his FIP of 5.73 and ERA of 5.49 indicates. Expect his struggles on the mound to continue to persist as he faces off against a Red Sox offense who ranks top-8 in Team Total Hits, RBIs, Total Runs Scored, and in On Base Percentage.

Austin Gomber Under 3.5 Strikeouts: (-125) at FanDuel Sportsbook

A major reason for Gomber’s struggles on the mound stems from his inability to generate Whiffs as the Rockies pitcher is also averaging less than one Strikeout per Inning Pitched.

With the Red Sox offense excelling at making contact as previously mentioned, expect Gomber to continue to underwhelm in his efforts of punching out and be held under the total on his Strikeouts prop.

Pittsburgh Pirates vs Kansas City Royals (7:40pm, EST)

Noah Cameron Over 15.5 Outs: (-115) at BetMGM Sportsbook

While Gomber has struggled, Noah Cameron has managed to get off to a hot start as the Kansas City pitcher is averaging an ERA of 2.56, a WHIP of 1.012, and a FIP of 3.96. Even though his Strikeout Rate is low, Cameron is still able to neutralize opposing offenses by being in full control of his command as he also averages less than two Walks per game and less than one Hit Allowed per Inning Pitched.

In a favorable matchup against Pittsburgh, Cameron will have a great opportunity to go the full length of his start as he faces off against a Pirates offense who ranks near the bottom of the board in Team Total Hits and in On Base Percentage. Do not play the over on this prop past the key number of 18.

Bryan Reynolds Under 1.5 Total Bases: (-165) at FanDuel Sportsbook

It has been an abysmal year for Tyler O’Neill as the Orioles batter is Not only has Cameron been able to play at a very high level, but he is also supported by a productive back end as the Royals defense ranks above league average in Defensive Efficiency. This hurts Bryan Reynolds chances of rounding back into form as the Pirates batter struggles with making contact. As of writing, Reynolds is averaging less than one Hit per game, a .229 Batting Average, and a .674 OPS.

Toronto Blue Jays vs Chicago White Sox (7:40pm, EST)

Jose Berrios Over 17.5 Outs: (-175) at BetMGM Sportsbook

After ranking near dead last in most key offensive metrics last year, the Chicago White Sox offense have carried over their struggles into this season as they once again rank near dead last across the board in Contact Rate, Strikeout Rate, and in Total Runs Scored.

Their struggles with generating Hits will be on full display against Toronto as they are set to face off against Jose Berrios who excels at avoiding contact. In his 18 starts, Berrios is averaging less than one Hit Against per Inning Pitched and an ERA of 3.64. As previously mentioned, pass on this prop should the total cross through the key number of 18.
